So a few changes happened, some a quality of life improvement, others a plain buff.

  • Chi Explosion's visuals should now be more visible and the ability's sound effects should no longer be too quiet.

  • Rising Sun Kick (Windwalker, Mistweaver) now causes enemies to take 15% increased damage (down from 20%).
  • Tiger Palm (Brewmaster, Windwalker) now extends up to 130% of its normal duration when refreshed, similar to periodic effects.

Not bad Hotfixes to be honest.

I want to try and start focusing on doing pvp with crane stance, in bg's 1v1 it stand quite well on it's own, and you can do some decent damage.

Another thing I was pleaseantly suprised was WindWalker, their damage felt good, and had enough tools to deal with non OverPowered classes (i'm talking to you ferals).

Let's get this started. Heroic modes Tips and tricks For THE FALLEN PROTECTORS HC.

Has predicted Spoils is down, quite a fun fight to be honest, the video is being uploaded to youtube, and as soon as it is available, it will be posted here.

Here it is.

After many napkins (full of pseudo math), and taking the data from simcraft, i went to wowhead, and compiled the BiS gear list for 2 x 1hand,

Here it is :

And for a fast look to have while raiding here is the image of it.

On this post I will explain how to get a "huge starting burst" at the beginning of a fight.

Expel Harm to 3-4
 Pre-potting (and racial buffs)
Chi-wave before combat starts (pay attention to pulls, ninjapulls are not cool).
     Xuen (if talented)
Tiger Palm (to get the buff rolling)
Rising Sun Kick (to apply debuff and do initial damage)
X2 (to regain 4chi and TEB stacks)
Tiger Eye Brew (for them DEPS)
Fists of Fury (unleash it all)

To me this netted me a 400k burst on the target dummy, self buffed without pre-potting and orc racial buff.

After testing with flask/ food/ pre-potting/ racial buff/ 8stacks of TEB (unlucky procs i guess) went from the 400k to 462k.

A detailed breakdown of the damage.

Keep in mind that as a monk our damage will plummet as soon as FoF drops, but the windwalker isn't a sprint runner, we are a long distance runner (fighter) and while the others damage starts falling we keep going up steady.

Hope this helped, and tell me about how do you guys start your fights, i have seen people saying that is better to start with RSK than with TP.

So yesterday we managed to down the Heroic version of the Fallen protectors.

The tactics were the same except the kill order that now was Rook - Sun - He.

Also we promoted the cleave damage in-between HP plateus, meaning we focused Rook, and left the cloaks and abilites like RSK splash damage (dot) take away bits of the other's HP.

When i find out who recorded this fight i will post it here, also we did a few tries in Norushen HC and left him at 8%, so tonight there if everything goes well there should 1 or 2 new hc kills.

This is a clean fight without much to worry.

You will be mostly on boss. Always kill Totems and Banners first. Leg Sweep adds like the Arcweaver and the Shamans. Try and stun the Assassin with Fists of Fury. Do not touch if he's in defensive, kill adds. (Avoid using Chi Wave if you can. You DO NOT want Nazgrim gaining any rage during Def Stance.)
I found this great youtube video, on pvp relating to burst.

So guys, today i bring you a guide from, very good guide, well put toghether.

WW] 5.4 - Siege of the Fist
All the credits go to  -> Calligraphy. " I've been playing various roles in WoW for several years, starting wayyyy way back when I first made my shaman. I just so happen to play a Windmasta Brewwalkin' monk, with an emphasis on that Windwalkin'. I chose to write this in order to have an up-to-date guide on Windwalker mechanics and changes, with an emphasis on compiling current theorycraft in an easier-to-digest manner."

Windwalker is not a class to be confused with The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. For one thing, we have an L in Windwalker. We bring front-loaded damage, and are extremely effective in AoE and cleave fights.

We do not have initial burst, though we do have a stacking buff that allows us to do a large amount of damage over a short period of time (for more information, read the section on Tigereye Brew). In addition to that, we have a multi-dot that allows us to maintain great damage on 2-3 targets (though, with an impact on our own damage). Finally, to top all of this off - we also do fantastic sustained damage.

How to read this guide: I will give the short answer first (for those who are perhaps just switching to Windwalker and have 10 minutes before raid) and then go into more technical reasoning for those who are curious, or those who are attempting to min/max.

This is a punishing fight for melees, but we can make it work, let's break it down then.

Talents that i use for this fight.

Tiger's Lust for mobillty on demand, getting out of oozes and what not.

Chi wave because of its healing/damage component and short cd already making it a part of my rotation.

Ring of piece because bosses are affected by disarms.

Diffuse magic well as a damage dealer your only source of harmful damage is mage and anything to mitigate it, is good.

Rushing Jade wind, due to it's low cd and because i like to send a clone to the oozes and do some AOE on them with this ability.

Now to the fight itself.

IMPORTANT:The Dark Shamans are susceptible to Grapple Weapon, which not only decreases their melee damage but also increases the performance of the monk who used it. It essentially becomes a DPS cooldown, increasing your damage dealt by 5% for 8 seconds on a 60 second cooldown.

  • If targeted for Ashen Wall or Foul Stream, always aim it away from your raid, and away from the kiting path of the bosses.
  • Touch of Karma during Geyser if you wish to stand in it, roll away if not.
  • Stoneskin as needed, and Diffuse Magic works well with Toxic Mist.
  • Kill the boss at all costs, range will kill the adds.

ATTENTION:One thing to note for all cloak users, if you aim near the adds at all during a cloak proc, you can get aggro and they will come to you and kill you if you do not notice that they aggro'd to you.

So you finished the first 4 bosses of Siege of Ogrimmar, and you are just of the harbour, and you are about to start the Galakras fight (cool looking mount might i add) so lets check this fight.

So beneficial talents for this fight are:

Tiger's Lust                  Diffuse Magic                 Invoque Xuen, The white Tiger
Tiger's Lust is just my personal favority movement talent not much to add.

Most, if not all of your cooldowns, must be used during seismic activity and before a pulse.

With the damage from activity and the pulse, you'll save yourself more times than you can count.

Obviously don't pop them all for each activity and pulse, but only if you think it will save your life, or if healers need help. Also use Tiger's Lust when targeted by a cutter as well as roll, avoiding all tar.

I choose to use Xuen in this fight because it is a single target fight. But i am looking at and testing RJW as a single target dmg dealer, for the simple fact of the uptime it has in comparison to Xuen.
