Mistweaver Monk Raid Talents (PvE) - patch 8.0

Let's have a look at Mistweavers and their base talents for Uldir in Patch 8.0

Right now, I feel that Mistweaver is in a great spot in Mythics and Raid healing, and while the talents you choose may vary according to personal preference or situation, I feel that they all have a decent output.

General Talents for Raid.
I will just focus on raiding talents on a hole, later on, other posts I will break it down for each individual boss, and what is better to use in each of them and why.

Tier 1 (Level 15) Talents for Mistweaver Monks

Here the choice will rely on the fight itself, an all-around good choice is Mist Wrap Icon Mist Wrap it provides you passive improvement to your Enveloping Mist Icon Enveloping Mist targets.  Chi Burst Icon Chi Burst comes in if the fight if you are able to regularly use Chi Burst to hit several players clumped together.
Chi Wave Icon Chi Wave for raid scenario isn't worth it.

Tier 2 (Level 30) Talents for Mistweaver Monks

In this tier and in movement terms Celerity Icon Celerity has essentially no use as it is outclassed by both Chi Torpedo Icon Chi Torpedo and Tiger's Lust Icon Tiger's Lust in any given situation. My preference is Tiger's lust, for the fact that it gets you rid of roots, and adds utility to your arsenal.

Tier 3 (Level 45) Talents for Mistweaver Monks

In this tier both options highlighted are good, depends on what you want to focus,Lifecycles Icon Lifecycles is a good pick if you are on tank duty, while Spirit of the Crane Icon Spirit of the Crane will reward your dealing
damage during downtime. Both these options allow you to recover some mana, but if you are struggling you might want to consider Mana Tea.

Tier 4 (Level 60) Talents for Mistweaver Monks
In a raid environment Ring of Peace Icon Ring of Peace is always the correct pick, while bosses won't be affected by
it, adds won't be able to reach you, which allows you some free time.

Tier 5 (Level 75) Talents for Mistweaver Monks

The choice here will depend on the type of damage you need to avoid during an encounter. If it is magic then take Diffuse Magic Icon Diffuse Magic, otherwise, take Dampen Harm Icon Dampen Harm.

Tier 6 (Level 90) Talents for Mistweaver Monks

In  this tier your best options are Invoke Chi-Ji, the Red Crane Icon Invoke Chi-Ji, the Red Crane or go with
Summon Jade Serpent Statue Icon Summon Jade Serpent Statue, while Invoke is a great cooldown, it has specific times to be used, and can really shine on AOE dmg times, While the statue, provides constant healing troughout the encounter, so it is a matter of if you need a cooldown go Invoke, if you need sustain go Statue.

Tier 7 (Level 100) Talents for Mistweaver Monks

Upwelling Icon Upwelling is a good pick for raids when not "Fistweaving" as it provides an excellent efficiency gain if you are unable to cast Essence Font Icon Essence Font on cooldown. It also makes our mastery more valuable by the nature of the extended HoT duration.
Rising Mist Icon Rising Mist is the talent that makes the "Fistweaving" build viable. It affects all of our active HoT spells, meaning not only Renewing Mist Icon Renewing Mist and Enveloping Mist Icon Enveloping Mist but the HoT from Essence Font Icon Essence Font as well. Rising Mist is a tool of efficiency; the heal is not enormous, but Rising Sun Kick Icon Rising Sun Kick only costs 1.5% of your Mana, and the increased duration on your active HoTs stacks adds up quickly.

This post covers the overall talents situations for Mistweaver Monks, and my take on those options
